Guidelines
- The media accompanying your submission, which will not be returned, may be submitted in one of the following ways:
- Submit on line with your application.
- For larger media files, please use a file-delivery service such as https://www.hightail.com/ orhttps://www.wetransfer.com/ with the email address submissions@nycemf.org.
- For files greater that 2 GB, you may also mail in the media, along with a copy of the submission form, to:NYCEMF 2014

- Multi-channel works must be submitted as a stereo mix. We accept submissions in the following formats, with a preference for Audio CD or Data MP3.
- Audio submissions: Audio CD, Data CD containing stereo WAV, AIFF, of MP3 files.
- Video submissions: DVD video, Data CD or DVD containing MOV, MV4 or AVI files.
- Works in progress will be considered if a substantial part of the work is complete. In any case, the duration stated in your application cannot be exceeded. Works of any length may be submitted, but only a limited number of works longer than 15 minutes will be accepted.
- Composers whose works are accepted will have to pay a registration fee of approximately US$150, which will entitle them to free admission to all events at the Festival. Attendance is not required, but if the composers do not attend, the fee must still be paid.
- Works involving instrumentalists where the composer is unable to provide the player will be accepted provisionally, subject to our ability to find a performer.
